Boyhood ''Differences between father and his stepfather''

Boyhood

Boyhood is a 2014 American drama film written, co-produced and directed by Richard Linklater and starring Patricia Arquette  (Olivia), Ellar Coltrane (Mason Jr), Lorelei Linklater (Samantha) and Ethan Hawke (Mason Sr). The film was shot intermittently over a twelve-year period, as Coltrane grew from childhood to adulthood; filming began in the summer of 2002 and was completed in October 2013.  Mason Jr and Samantha are the children of Olivia and Mason Sr. . They were living in another state. They were happy family but some misunderstanding they got divorced and her mother decided with their children to move to Houston. The children were not happy leave their father but their mother took them with herself. They reached to Houston and stayed in the children Grandmother’s house. Children started school and Olivia started her college too. After some days Olivia got married with her professor, Bill Welbrock and they moved to Bill Welbrock’s House. Bill Welbrock had two children Randy and Mindy from a previous marriage.  In this film I found many differences between Mason Jr’s father and his stepfather.
First of all, Mason Sr. was a kind of good person and also a good person for their child. He came every weekend took their children outside for enjoyment. They enjoyed every weekend with his father and they were happier than stepfather.  Mason Sr. and Mason went on a camping trip together and solidifies their relationship. However, stepfather didn’t take out children for outing and never talked about a trip. He forced Mason Jr. to get a haircut. Mason Jr. was not happy because of stepfather parenting style, but Mason Jr. was a calm boy.
Then, one weekend, Mason Sr. took the children out and learned that Samantha has a boyfriend. He talked to them both about contraceptives.  It means that he was an open minded person with their children, but their stepfather didn’t talk about their children’s lives and he was so mean to the children. He was strict, such as forcing the children to performed chores.
In addition, Mason Sr. was just a smoker, and he was a calm person. He never fought to their kids and his wife. In contrast, stepfather was a drunker and then he became increasingly aggressive as alcoholism took over his life. One day children arrived home from school, the boys found mother on the ground was crying with Bill standing next to her. Bill has become openly abusive, drinking hard liquor at dinner and breaking several glasses, plates and screamed on their children.
In conclusion, Olivia left this house and move to Austin with their children to her friend’s house. Olivia taught phycology at the local college. The children started a better life. One day Olivia and a friend host thanksgiving party at home, and Olivia met Jim. He was an army. After some days they started living together. As the children grew up Mason Jr. started alcohol and every night came home late. Jim and Mason Jr. had an argument about the coming home late and then mother left this place moved to other house and started living together. Mason Jr. got graduated from high school in the age of 18. Mason Sr. thanked Olivia for raising the kid and Mason Sr. gave the best advice to his children about a good parent. Mason Jr. moved to hostel and started college.

Why Hitler’s Germany Started the Jewish Holocaust

Why Hitler’s Germany Started the Jewish Holocaust

Who was Hitler? Why did he start Holocaust? Adolf Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany, the instigator of World War 2 and the driving force behind the attempt to exterminate European Jewry, otherwise known as the Final Solution or the Holocaust. He became chancellor of Germany and the war in Europe officially ended. During this time, Jews in Europe were subjected to progressively harsher persecution that ultimately led to the murder of 6,000,000 and the destruction of 5,000 Jewish communities. These deaths represented two-thirds of European Jewry and one-third of all Jewry all over the world. There are three reasons: a political situation, economic factors, and discrimination.
First, Jewish holocaust started because of politicians. Hitler started on a political career in September 1919 at the age of thirty with no formal qualifications. Then he succeeded in gaining and exercising supreme power in Germany and his political career began in Munich when he joined the German workers’ party, a tiny group of extreme nationalists and anti-Semites who saw their role as trying to win over German workers from the international Social Democratic Party, and in the aftermath of the defeat and revolution, to persuade people that Jews were primarily responsible for Germany’s plight. In spite of that, Jews had economic problems.
Second, economic factors during Hitler time were so bad for Jewish. He took a broken country made from the Treaty of Versailles and appealed to the people by restoring 1st German pride, fixing unemployment, restoring the German Mark, and blaming all their people on the Jews. By doing this he gave all the people a common enemy which united the country, and people were suffering due to financial crisis and put the blame on the wealthy Jews. For example, the Nazis boycott was underway when a dress shop in Berlin displayed a sign in its window saying ‘‘Germans defend yourselves don’t buy from Jews.’’ Jews businesses sales went down. Therefore, suffering with economic problems they were discriminating by German people.
In addition, discrimination of Jews in Germany from 1933-1939 caused Jews to be discriminated against in many different ways. It was a time in 1933 that Hitler became chancellor. Hitler was to create a master race and he said that it was the Jews that were stopping Germany from being great. He also blamed Jews for Germany losing World War 1. Nazis used the Jews as scapegoats for all of the problems in Germany such as social and economical depression. He also used media to spread their views across Germany in an attempt to convince people the Jews were burdens on the community. German people hated Jewish people and they didn’t want to take out Jewish from Germany because they wanted to keep Jewish as slave and to show their hate for Jews.
In conclusion, as you can see the political situation was bad he put all blames on Jews and the economic crisis for Jews had problems in businesses. The discrimination for Jews was a German slave. After that the killing of the Jews continued right up to the final days. Soviet forces approaching the underground bunker in Berlin where he had been holed up since early 1945 and then Hitler committed suicide.
